Part A — Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern use of the Buckrate application, website and related technology services. Buckrate is a technology platform for goat and sheep supply-chain operations, including livestock measurement, health/condition assessment, listing, inventory, trading workflows, procurement and order tracking.
1. Use of the Platform
- Buckrate provides technology and digital infrastructure to support livestock farmers, traders, aggregators and meat companies.
- Users may use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- Buckrate may add, modify, suspend or discontinue features.
2. User Accounts and Information
- Users are responsible for accurate account information.
- Users are responsible for the accuracy of livestock listings, images, animal details, pricing information and other submitted information.
- Users must not impersonate another person or use another user's account without authorization.
3. Buckrate's Role
- Buckrate is primarily a technology and supply-chain infrastructure provider.
- Unless expressly stated otherwise in a written agreement, Buckrate is not the owner or seller of livestock listed by independent users.
- Buckrate does not guarantee that a buyer or seller will complete a transaction, accept a price, deliver livestock or perform another commercial obligation.
- Where Buckrate facilitates a transaction workflow, its role is limited to the services expressly described for that workflow.
4. Fees and Paid Services
Current examples of applicable fees may include:
- ₹25 per goat trader-side transaction fee where applicable.
- ₹100 per goat or applicable transaction meat-company service/commission where agreed.
- ₹100 per goat or applicable transaction loan/financial-service processing fee where applicable.
- ₹9 per day Bidding List / listing access charge where enabled.
- Other paid services may be introduced with the applicable fee disclosed before charging.
Fees may differ by user type, transaction, service agreement, product configuration or promotion. The fee displayed or communicated for the relevant service will apply.
5. Livestock Data, Measurement and Price Estimates
- Buckrate tools may provide estimated live weight, estimated meat yield, body condition, breed-related parameters, health indicators or price-related information.
- These are technology-assisted estimates and should not automatically be treated as certified measurements, veterinary diagnoses, guaranteed market prices or guaranteed sale values.
- Actual prices may vary by location, breed, age, sex, health, body condition, demand, season, buyer, transport and other factors.
- Users remain responsible for purchase, sale, treatment, transport and animal-management decisions.
6. Livestock Health and Safety
- Health, BCS, anemia-screening support and other indicators support operational decision-making and do not replace a qualified veterinarian.
- Users remain responsible for animal welfare, veterinary decisions, medicines, supplements, transport and regulatory compliance.
7. Prohibited Use
- Fraudulent, deceptive or unlawful activity.
- Uploading illegal, harmful or infringing content.
- Impersonation or unauthorized account use.
- Hacking, reverse engineering, disrupting or gaining unauthorized access.
- Manipulating listings, prices, payments, ratings or transaction records.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Buckrate is not responsible for losses arising solely from independent trade decisions, inaccurate user information, livestock quality or health, market-price changes, delivery performance by independent parties, or device/network failures outside Buckrate's reasonable control.
9. Changes to Terms
Buckrate may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website or other appropriate channels.
Part B — Privacy Policy
Buckrate respects user privacy. This Privacy Policy describes information that Buckrate may collect through its app, website and related technology services and how that information may be used.
1. Information We Collect
Information provided by users:
- Mobile number for login/OTP authentication.
- Name and optional location information.
- Livestock listing and transaction information.
- Livestock photographs, videos or other uploaded media.
- Business or trading information where required for an applicable service.
Automatically collected or technology-derived information:
- Device type, operating system and app version.
- Crash and diagnostic information.
- Technical/usage information needed to operate, secure and improve the platform.
- Where a feature requires it and the user grants access: images, camera data, sensor/device data or livestock measurement information.
2. How We Use Information
- Create and authenticate accounts.
- Create, display and manage livestock listings.
- Provide measurement, inventory, trading, procurement and order-management functionality.
- Improve AI/measurement models and operational tools, subject to applicable law and feature disclosures.
- Provide support and maintain security.
- Process applicable payments, fees, refunds and transaction records.
3. Data Sharing
- Authorized service providers such as OTP/SMS, cloud, analytics, payment or infrastructure providers where required to provide services.
- Transaction participants where necessary for a requested listing, trade, procurement or fulfilment workflow.
- Government, law-enforcement, court or regulatory authorities where disclosure is required or legally permitted.
- Buckrate does not sell personal information to advertisers for advertising purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Buckrate uses cloud infrastructure and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
- No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
- Retention periods may vary according to purpose, legal requirements and operational needs.
5. User Rights and Requests
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of account/personal data, subject to legal or legitimate retention requirements.
- Request account deactivation.
- Raise questions or complaints regarding privacy or data processing.

6. Children's Privacy
The Buckrate app is not intended for children under 18. Buckrate does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
7. Changes to the Privacy Policy
Buckrate may update this Privacy Policy when its services, technology, legal obligations or data practices change. Where appropriate, notice of material changes will be provided.
