Payment, Fees & Refund Policy
1. Purpose
This policy explains the fees, payment processes and refund principles applicable to services provided through the Buckrate platform. Buckrate operates primarily as a technology and supply-chain infrastructure provider for goat and sheep trading and related livestock operations.
2. Current Buckrate Fee Model
Depending on the service and transaction, Buckrate may charge:
Fees may vary by user type, product, transaction, service agreement or promotional offer. The amount displayed or communicated before the relevant transaction will govern that transaction.
3. Payment Authorization
- Users must review the applicable fee before confirming a paid service or transaction.
- Buckrate will provide applicable fee information before charging for a paid feature or service.
- Payment methods may include UPI, cards, net banking, bank transfer, or other methods supported by Buckrate or its authorized payment partners.
- Payment confirmation may be provided through the app, email, SMS, WhatsApp or other available channels.
- Users must not attempt unauthorized, fraudulent, reversed or disputed transactions.
4. Transaction Settlement
Buckrate's role is primarily technology enablement and transaction facilitation. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, Buckrate does not acquire ownership of livestock merely because a transaction is listed, matched, processed or recorded on the platform.
- Buyer and seller/trader remain responsible for the commercial terms of the underlying livestock transaction.
- Where Buckrate or an authorized payment partner provides payment collection or settlement, the terms disclosed for that workflow apply.
- Buckrate does not guarantee completion of transactions or performance by independent buyers, sellers or traders.
- Any escrow or safeguarded-funds arrangement applies only where specifically enabled and disclosed for the relevant transaction.
5. Refunds
- Transaction/service fees already earned for a completed service are generally non-refundable unless applicable commercial terms state otherwise.
- If Buckrate cancels a paid service because Buckrate cannot provide it, Buckrate may refund the applicable amount paid for the unprovided service.
- If cancellation is caused by a user, buyer, seller, trader or other participant, refund treatment follows the applicable transaction terms and may be subject to processing/service costs.
- Where a third-party payment provider is involved, refunds are subject to its processing timelines and applicable rules.
- Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method or another permitted method.
6. Disputes
Disputes concerning livestock quality, quantity, weight, health, delivery, price, ownership or performance should be raised promptly through Buckrate support and, where applicable, with the relevant buyer/seller/trader. Buckrate may review platform records to facilitate resolution but does not guarantee the commercial performance of independent parties.
7. Payment Failures and Fraud
- Buckrate may hold, reject, suspend or cancel a transaction where payment cannot be verified or fraud, misuse, chargeback abuse or suspicious activity is reasonably suspected.
- Users must not share OTPs, PINs, passwords, UPI credentials, card CVVs or authentication credentials.
- Buckrate is not responsible for losses caused by voluntary disclosure of payment credentials or use of unauthorized payment channels.
8. Changes to Fees
Buckrate may introduce, discontinue or modify fees. Updated fees will be communicated through the applicable app, website, service screen, commercial agreement or other appropriate channel.
